as a scholar of Tolkien, this scenario is wonderful, just great, especially the use of wonders and the girdle of Melian.

I played your scenario once on my friends computer. Five minutes after we finished I was back home downloading it myself. Carry on producing games for the good of the world.

Played your scenario. You have been careful to give it a Silmarillion feel to it even though this restricts the potential of the civ2 engine (which would otherwise distort the background).

This has replaced The Lord of the Rings as the most well made and my fav. scenario. Except for the Lotr trilogy, i wasn't much of a Tolkien fan but because of this, i am going to go get the simallarion. Making all the seperate lords guarding there corresponding lands and the hidden city of Gondolin is ingenious. Well, congradulations and hope to hear from you.

Your Dagor Bragollach Scenario is one of the best that I've ever played. It beats out 80-90% of the scenarios out on the Net.

Well, I must say you have outdone yourself this time! I downloaded your version three about a year ago (I guess) and, honestly, never played it more than once due to severe frustration. But this... THIS... this is an absolute masterpiece! I downloaded it about two weeks ago, and really have never stopped playing (well, when I'm free, anyway). Such wonderful additions (Impassible Terrain... who woulda thunk it?!) and Gondolin actually behaves how it should! . . . I had just obtained the Fantastic Worlds Scenario Disk when I downloaded the current version and this ranks better than 90% of the scenarios on it!!

"Dagor Bragollach", filename Dagor402 - The Battle of Sudden Flame - probably the most extensively rewritten scenario ever uploaded, this game is state-of-the-art in several ways

I downloaded your scenario today, and I must say it's a very impressive piece of work. I haven't had time yet to work through it fully (I'm planning to do that tomorrow) but what I have seen is not only well done in scenario terms, but also thoroughly researched. You've obviously put a lot of effort in on this one.

After playing your scenario I must say there is little to change. It plays great. Really challenging. I guess I'll let other figure out their own strategies. The Impassable Terrain was genius, I had never thought of that.

. . . I downloaded your scenario. And let me tell you, I can't stop playing it. I have even started re-reading the Silmarillion. It is one of the top three scenarios I have ever downloaded, and I have downloaded a lot of them. Well, to sum it all up, your scenario kicks some major @ss.

Found your site and picked up your scenario. Very impressive. Having worked on scenarios I can appreciate the amount of time you've invested. Yours is a unique use of the Civ II game engine and it works quite well. Your method of creating "impassable" terrain is interesting and I've promptly "stolen" it for use in a scenario that I'm working on, loosely based on the Riverworld series of stories.
