Thingol |
Of all the Sindar, the only one to be accounted among the Calaquendi, the Elves of the Light. He journeyed to Aman as an ambassador and returned to Middle-earth to lead his people to the bliss of that land. However, on this long journey, he came upon the beauty of Melian, the Maia. Forsaking the bliss of Aman for her, he gathered up those of his people who were unwilling to continue the journey without him, and settled in Doriath as the ruler of Beleriand. He is the mightiest of the Sindar. |
